Blue checkered shirt or suit & tie?
The blue checkered shirt has lost its 'subliminible' message..he's tried the light blue one....the long sleeved, dark blue 'formal' one with sleeves rolled up to indicate 'hardwerk'... he's tried the medium blue shortsleeved one (windowpane checkered)...

I'm guessing the dark blue suit..crisp white shirt..red tie...(no cowboy boots)..

He's trying desperately to act 'dependable and serious' so he's gonna wear his "grown-up man" costume tonight.

That's my guess :)

He probably cannot resist the opportunity to hug a dark person though..so watch for that 'moment'..

8. Grey and blue... I'm thinking too
Softer than the power suit. I think he is looking for sympathy now that his hardball, bullying ways are being questioned.

Maybe something like that in a polka-dot pattern.

Tres chic for a "man" with his kind of dignitude and style.

I imagine Jeff Gannon would be "thrilled" to see his Main Man in such an ensemble.

7. I don't know about the suit and tie, but that damn pajama shirt has
to GO! I haven't decided if he's got 20 of them or he keeps wearing the same one all the time, but it's disgusting! Hell, I'd rather see a damn western shirt if that's the image he wants to portray!

27. that's his "huggin'" shirt ...
As you say, he has a whole bunch of identical ones, which he discards after each photo-op because he doesn't want to get "cooties" from being forced to be in close proximity to the hurricane survivors.

19. Full fireman's gear and hat. They'll lower him down to the podium
hanging from a helicopter rope, only there won't be a helicopter because it is indoors, so it will be a rigged version, like Mary Martin in Peter Pan. And condi will smudge his face with black ash before they lower him. They are working on the musical score as we speak.

21. It's being done from NO so I'll guess his everyday guy
outfit and short sleeved shirt (I'll go with light blue) and dickies type thing.

It's supposed to be about the reconstruction plan for NO and other areas hit hard by Katrina but I'll bet he mentions 9-11, Iraq and the war of... oops I mean ON... Terror at least once.
