GOP working on legislation that would limit Katrina victims' right to sue
After Katrina, Republicans Back a Sea of Conservative Ideas
By DanielGree
Sep 15, 2005 -

The title for this is a headline from the "MarketPlace" section of today's (Thursday) Wall Street Journal A couple of highlights.

"Now Republicans are working on legislation that would limit victims' right to sue, offer vouchers for dislplaced school children, lift some environment restrictions on new refineries and create tax-advantaged enterprise zones to maximize private-sector participation in reocer and reconstruction....

"The desire to bring conservative, free-market ideas to the Gulf Coast is white hot,' says rep. Mike Pence, the Indiana Republican who leads the Republican Study Group...."

These folks have no shame. Some of these ideas may have merit and after debate could be good but to ram them through this way is disgusting.

3. I'm sorry, but running these criminals out of office is not enough.
I want them at the Hague more than ever now, for crimes against humanity. And the rest of what I want I can't type. :grr:

5. These are evil, evil people with fucked-up priorities.

These, my friends, are the republican priorities:

No. 1: First, and before doing ANYTHING else, protect the interests of our corporate donors.

No. 2: Second, and only after un-ignorable public outcry, make half-assed effort for window-dressing help for those hurt by this disaster (and its mismanaged aftermath).

6. It's "Baghdad Year Zero" all over again...
Unbridled greed, corruption, exploitation... and all the other things so dear to the hearts of Repukes.
