EVERY time I click on Tweet, he's blaming Blanco/Nagin
and I mean EVERY time

is he worse than he's ever been?

worse than when he went after Gore the fabricator, while extolling the 'everyman' style of the chimp?

worse than reveled in going after Kerry the flip flopper, while pandering to the John Wayne-esque leadership abilities of pResident Dumbass after 911?

Worse, even than his clearly homoerotic fixation over the package?

I mean, he's completely unwatchable at this moment, as he and that creep Bobby Jindahl talk about what a mess Blanco has made of things, and, by implication, how much better off LA would be, if only they'd elected HIM instead of her.

that's it for me, I hope

Gawd that is so repulsive when he gets so "worked up" about Bush that his spit is flying all over the set.

3. You are so right
I rarely watch him, but I wanted to see the segment of the little boy whose Mom had been on the TV in the early days speaking of her son. "look at him, I can hardly wake him". He died later that day. But when I listen to his questions, he has obviously not done one ounce of homework. He has no idea, just spewing the line.

27. Oh, no...
I remember that poor woman. I had hoped she had gotten her baby out in time. I will never forget how scared and frantic she was, but still eloquent enough to point out it wasn't about rich/poor, black/white, but that they were people and they were suffering. She cut right through the crap the "leaders" were spewing at the time. I am so sorry to hear she lost that poor baby.

5. This is deliberate and more will pile-on and I've got a real fear now
That the right-winger's in Louisiana, helped by the mediawhores OF COURSE, are going to start a campaign to recall Governor Blanco...just like the right-winger's in California, helped by the mediawhores OF COURSE, started a campaign to recall Gray Davis.

Heck, I SO hope I'm wrong about this.

6. Because he wants to put Jack Welch, their fascist favorite, in charge of
rebuilding NO.

BTW...everyone around DC must have heard by now how huge Kerry's uh...whatever...is. Heck, I heard about it in LA after Dana Delaney dated him back in the late 80s, I think.

7. The last decent thing I heard from Matthews
was his article in the San Francisco Chronicle dated August 25, 2002 entitled "To Iraq And Ruin". Here is just a small portion of what he wrote:

"...This invasion of Iraq, if it goes off, will join the Bay of Pigs, Vietnam, Desert One, Beirut and Somalia in the history of military catastrophe.

What will set it apart, distinguishing it for all time, is the immense — and transparent — political stupidity.

A mission to attack one isolated enemy will end up isolating us. A mission justified by the fight with terrorism will give birth to millions of terrorist-supporting haters. In every cafe from Manila to Casablanca, just whom do you think they will be rooting for? Just whom will their kids be killing themselves for? ..."

Since that time, Matthews has been pure whore for the Bush Administration. What happened to the man who wrote those words?

13. One comforting thought about Tweety
His ratings are in the dumper. Our boy Keith is way ahead of him
and I do take comfort in the fact hardly anyone is listening to
his desperate bull shit trying to save his esteemed leader. He is
pitiful.

15. You hit the main point on the head
Cable news for the most part, as far as rating are concerned, is overrated. People have an exaggerated sense of the viewership of these shows. Network news and political talk radio like Air America have listener/viewership many times more than these cable news channels. Some shows like Hardball, aside from that, are not the better rated shows. People have gotten sick of the screaming heads shows and his is one of the last ones left. Even FoxNews I hear is going down in it's ratings big time. Capital Gang, Crossfire, and many others have been cut since the election tear and more are going to get scrapped. News seems to be going back in the right dircetion and doing some reporting. Let's just hope it starts gettting accurate now.

26. Tweety's ratings are so bad
that he thinks by cowtowing to Bush he can get some dittoheads to watch. He has no core views---it's all about jacking up the ratings. But it is self-defeating, one night he makes us angry, the next night he gets the kool-aid people mad. Everybody hates him in the end.

28. Hardball is only watchable when David Gregory substitutes.
Tonights idiotic comment from Mathews was whether people really cared about accountability in NOLA or something to that effect. Obviously, HE doesn't care, but the rest of us do. He is a Bush apologist bar none. The world has moved far past needing his know-nothing commentary. and oooooh! Cokie Roberts will be joining him. (like anyone in the world cares about what she thinks) Why can't these people just sit on their porches in Nantucket and bore each other over their Pimms Cups?
