4. *'s tone was cold and mechanical, reading too fast and obviously nervous
Not a convincing, sincere, warm, moving performance at all. We need a healer, not a robot. Teleprompter must have been on high speed.

Maybe a chameleon really was climbing up his leg.

He dropped a hint: more owners than renters, ownership society again. Not a surprise. The master plan for the new New Orleans. Oh, if only Albert Speer were available as the master architect!

Worker recovery accounts: can't push them through on Social Security so might as well try this tack. Stir in entrepreneurship, rinse and repeat.

New Orleans redesigned by al-Bushda. Be very afraid.

No, not a bullhorn moment at all. Now Hastert is speaking fast. Beware of fast-talking Republicans bearing gifts. I don't think many will buy what they have to sell.

6. He did sound nervous--breathing hard, gasping for air.
In other words, lying and trying desperately to cover his stupid, incompetent ass.

11. Congressional Republicans are on now, equally nervous
Beware of fast-talking Republicans with carefully rehearsed comments. Such obvious sycophants spewing PR spin on command. I hope people aren't buying it.

13. If there are no lenders, there can be no borrowing
The rebuilding of the Gulf area can't be done without sacrifice in the here and now, meaning an increase in taxes and an elimination of the tax cuts for the superrich.

Is that the motive for "rebuilding," to finish off the beast once and for all by borrowing hundreds of billions of dollars on top of the hundreds of billions already borrowed for Iraq and not fully accounted for in the federal budget?

When does destroying the budget approach an impeachable offense?
