NOLA provides the bulk of state tax revenues to Baton Rouge yet gets back very little and the fed Army Corps of Engineers levee programs and FEMA funding have been cut by about 50% since 1981.

State is more corrupt than New Jersey - and the people down there joke about it.

it could have been an LBJ speech. That was a pointed comment that should not be overlooked. Scarborough merant that Bush can't hope to have a war around the other side of the globe, and to have a huge domestic "program" at home.

We should never trust Scarborough to be other than a republican. But we should trust that republicans will begin to turn on Bush in increasing numbers.
