Snafulapulis: on PBS...guests say Bush looked too staged
Edited on Thu Sep-15-05 10:12 PM by linazelle
it was too bureacratic looking they say, standing in NOLA in the middle of nowhere by himself. Snofulapulis says the investigation needs to be done by somebody other than himself--by independents (good luck on that one :eyes:).

Also, they are saying he didn't name a new "czar" like Powell or Giuliani to oversee the effort. Can you say BIG GOV'T? Big gov't. by the party who wants to drown it a bathtub.

1. He can't win, can he?
I mean, he really *can't.*

They're all over him like a bad suit.

What a roller coaster ride... I want off...

9. Not a roller coaster ride.
We're all in the back seat of a bus that's being driven by a drunkard and it's careening all over the road. While this drunkard usually stays so far to the right he's bouncing off walls and parked cars, he's now swerved over to the left and dodging oncoming traffic - with "all the pretty flashing lights." The bodies of car-less pedestrians litter the road and sidewalks behind us. We're just waiting for the wheels to come off.

7. How could they think he look too staged?
His shirt wasn't even buttoned properly. Now we know he needs permission for potty breaks and someone to clothe him.

14. My husband watched it and said
his shirt/collar made him think of a line from a movie when Liz Taylor calls some kids 'little no-necks'. From the pics I've seen posted here, he's right!

15. Sesame Street is doing political commentary now?
Edited on Fri Sep-16-05 04:15 AM by Buns_of_Fire
I admit, Snuffleupagus is one of the more cogent observers of the national mood, and his (her?) critique of the abandonment of the Kyoto accords was spot on, but I've always felt that Big Bird had more of a handle on the political ramifications.

But The Count was too blatantly neocon ("ONE! ONE beautiful tax cut! TWO! TWO beautiful tax cuts!") and Bert and Ernie were just wrong! wrong! wrong! as proponents of alternative lifestyles.

What? Snofulapulis said this? Oh. That's different. Never mind.
