So the part about identifying govt property and holding "raffles"
Does that mean places that formerly had apartments for government housing will now house one or two families? What happens to all the rest of the people? What other "government property" could he be talking about? How could a raffle like that be done fairly and equitably anyway?

Just asking how this part (and its implications) struck everyone else.

By the way ... why did he walk in the way he did? And did it seem like he had something under his shirt again? I saw an odd bump at his right shoulder and his neckline looked odd ...

1. Probably wetlands and national park areas which developers covet
It's quite simple - this way he can open up beautiful natural areas for development, destroy lots of endangered species, remove the natural barriers to storm surge
AND enrich his Home Builders Association contributors.

3. I thought he was wearing a bullet-proof vest
his shirt was loose enough to sort of camoflage it, but there were odd lines over his shoulders and around his neckline (or so it looked to me)

F**ker needs to send that body armor over to a soldier to make some good use of it, and not try to engineer such a great photo op that the SS can't clear the location for the speech without a vest.

4. His neckline, was weird looking. The shirt had the top button or
two undone and pulled over his shoulder. There definitely was something wrong with that picture (and I mean more than usual)

5. Isn't there lots of public housing near Armstrong Park? As I remember
my visits to New Orleans, that seemed like a natural direction for expanding the downtown tourist district.

When a prperty gets transferred once, that won't be its last transaction. Sooner or later, it always winds up in the hands of the highest bidder.
