it just RUBS THEM THE WRONG WAY and they can't hide their discomfort and anger over it. they feel betrayed by bush, who has always pretended to reach out to minorities and had all black performers at the republican national convention, now he actually has to follow through with money. oh the republican anger and frustration!!!

ACTUALLY giving billions to blacks? the horror, the horror!!!

2. The "40 acres and a mule" scenario is EXACTLY what worries me, lady.

A broken promise--made by another republican, BTW.

their souls on the issue of race. Perhaps rethink some of the "creation myths" : that way they will know themselves and own themselves in the way adults do. So they will not elect a nutjob like Bush again.

And Bush will have to lead the discussion. Because that is what any president has to do.

If he cares for the soul of his country. And he may even find that he is a better person for it. And that will kill the neocons & rovbots. My gosh - if the President actually gets out of that adolescent bubble they have kept him in for 30 years. He might just grow as a human.

My gosh - that would be the worst nightmare for the right.

6. He is toast either way.
If he does help rebuild the city, we all know he will use his contractors rather than letting the residents earn that money building it themselves. If he does not really come through for them, people will be very angered. The Repugs are furious that he will spend one dime of taxpayer money to help them. It is alright if he spends our money on war, but not poor Americans. They disgust me and I can not wait to cast my vote in 2006!

10. bush may have talked the talk--but he won't walk the walk...
we, those of us non-republicans who can see through bush, know that. stupid republican mongrols ... they may be up in a stirr now but they will soon see that their bush boy hasn't deserted them.
after all, Poppy promised them--on a television appereance during the 2000 presidential campaign-"this boy o'mine will not disappoint you." and poppy must've known what he was talking 'bout.

12. No cost is too great if the money goes to KILLING people.
The sky's the goddamned limit, if it's about "bombing them into the Stone Age," "turning Iraq into a sheet of glass," etc., etc.

If it's connected to genocide, then that's o.k. with MEpublicans.

14. OMG
How can they stand that their tax money (which most mepublicans don't pay, anyway) isn't going to corporate wealthfare, but to help actual people that they hate?

I love the irony!

16. Tax monies...
I just wish there was a breakdown on what taxes went for, so I could "deduct" what I don't want it going for. :)

Katrina relief: Sure
Highways: Sure
Faith-Based Organizations: Let them do their own fundraising.
