I was watching ABC last night after the speech and they "interviewed" a small group of evacuees at the Astrodome afterward. They all praised Bush and a few heavily criticized local and state officials regarding the catastrophe. Dean Reynolds was trying to find anyone skeptical but they seemed like the perfect hand-picked crowd for a Bush event.
In reading here last night, evidently locals were interviewed on other channels and several mentioned how locals are not yet receiving contracts for rebuilding.
I'm in Raleigh, and the morning news showed a local evacuee, and her response was that, in the speech, Bush didn't indicate how the people would be part of this rebuilding.
Disconnect. Again.
Wondering if any of you have seen interviews with local evacuees after the speech?
