Just when I think that nothing the Bush administration does can shock me,I find they have slipped to new levels of cronyism.It started with the appointment of several no-bid contracts to companies represented by lobbyist and former FEMA director(and Bush chief-of-staff)Joe Allbaugh- Halliburton/KBR,The Shaw Group,and SCI/Kenyon Group(with whom Bush has a shady past as governor-see Funeralgate).Now I see that Karl Rove,Bush's chief political advisor(and allegedly Bush's brain) has been appointed to oversee the $200 billion rebuilding project in the Gulf states.Am I the only one who finds this suspect?Karl Rove is being investigated for outing an undercover agent(a felony),and yet he is being trusted to fairly,impartially distribute this money?I'd say-invest in Halliburton,The Shaw Group,and SCI(as well as any other groups represented by Allbaugh),because they will be getting more business before this incestual relationship has run its course.
