Clinton is disappointing, but his "I've experienced 4 tax cuts" hit home.
When he told that to Matt Lauer on the Morning Show today, it was something that every voter should hear over and over until it sinks in.

He said something to the effect that, while all working class people are paying out of their asses for the deficit and the Iraq war, he and all the other rich people have experienced 4 major tax CUTS under Bush.

I hope our silent Democratic leaders can get this message across to Joe Sixpack, because Joe doesn't understand how it works. Hearing someone who's rich ADMIT that he's a beneficiary of an unfair Republican tax system is pretty enlightening, to say the least.

BTW, did Bill write Bush's speech last night? I suspect President Asshole has hired a new speech writer as of late. Last week he spoke in harsh 4-syllable sentences and this week he attempted to come across as kind and compassionate. Although the Chimp's speech came across as a total fake to anyone with a brain, it was an attempt as being this new kind and compassionate person. I wonder if Bill was behind it at the request of Poppy. "Bill, could you write a little speech for my brain-dead son, one that makes the dunce look like he cares?"

10. Is she sober yet?
Every time I see her on TV she's so woozy-boozy.

is beyond me.

11. me, too.
I can't decide whether it means he's the most forgiving politician ever, or they have something on him, or he gets a piece of the pie under the table.

4. There are a lot of our Democratic leaders whom I believe have
come to love their tax cuts. We have a lot of people with money in positions of power now.

5. Odd, though, that ANYONE ever thinks that Bush even remotely
contributes to or understands what he is talking about when he gives these so called speeches. Painful to watch or listen to, that's for sure.

8. No, but when a rich celebrity actually says he got 4 tax cuts, and you
hear him say it on TV, then it sinks in to all those naive people who listen to the right wing media who'd like to have them think otherwise.

9. When a rich celebrity gives it back I'm even more impressed.

:hi:

FWIW, my pittance of a tax cut went right into charity.

13. I don't know of many, Mrs Grumpy, who have, but I also don't know of
many who even like bringing any light to it like Clinton did.

I'm always suspicious that many of the supposed democratic celebrities out there have second thoughts when they're alone in that voting booth. Taxes are an issue that I think kills us more than any other single issue for two reasons. The obvious one is that (1) rich people control just about everything and they would never go for our tax system because it hits them in their wallets, and (2) all the other people simply aren't aware that their Republican "tax cuts" actually cost them huge amounts of money in the long run, so they vote for the bad guys who have them bribed with a couple hundred short-term bucks. We've got to do a better job explaining how it works to the naive and the ignorant.

15. Way to go Mrs.G
You have found the loophole
that makes the "trickle down" theory work.

Now, if we could mandate that the rich do the same.

7. The bifurcation and hypocrisy of the freepers are stunning.
Not only do they miss the point of the tax cuts hurting the economy and the country across the board, they also believe that everyone but Bill Clinton DESERVES the tax cuts.

12. I've experienced 4 tax cuts too.
They consisted of higher taxes, lower pay, lower benefits, and being laid off.
