So how much has the Bush Family Donated?
After taking personal responsibility and all...

After asking EVERYONE (well not rich people) to give all they could...

After flying down (3 days late) and SEEING the disaster...

After Countless photo-ops....

After seeing the rapicious WALTON family and WALMART actually give...

One kinda wonders...How deep did you and your family actually dig Bush?

Did you say...Heck I'll lead by example and cough up half this year's salary? Did you say, I'll kick back my own tax cut. Did your daughters give up their allowance for a month? Did your wife donate her shoe budget (we know Condi didn't).

I ask because Bush, you are rich...you could give a LOT...I work for a non-profit...I work with people who are literally sworn to poverty but who still continued to volunteer, to donate, and who offered to give up more and donate more.

I ask because I dug deep and donated time, energy, and money and I don't live anywhere special, know any of the victims, have a lot of extra money, OR SIT IN THE POSITION WHERE OTHER PEOPLE LOOK TO ME FOR AN EXAMPLE.. but I FIGURED I COULD GIVE UP A YEAR'S WORTH OF COFFEE to help some people without a home.

I did it. I know the odd guy across the street did it. I know EVERYONE in my office did it. I know the people attending the church down the street did it. I know the kids at the school on my block did it. I know the Mailman did it.

But I don't know that you did it Mr. Bush. And showing up clean shaven, in a clean starched shirt a few days later to shake yer head and hug a carefully selected kid or two doesn't cut it.

So how much did you Personally give? How much did your family give?

That's all I wanna know.

10. Is that the new meme at DU post-speech?
I must have missed it. We are now saying that the Federal Government should not be aiding NOLA?

19. Nah, the point is that
the Federal Government should not be giving all the money to Halliburton, et al. Much of it should be going to local people and firms first hand, instead of second hand at $6-7 an hour.

20. Okay...thanks for responding...
I can agree with that for the most part...although logistically I can see where that might be very difficult to do fully. But it should be a goal.

5. That is the beauty of being the prezident
You get to tell everyone else to empty their pocket books and you get to line your with government money.
It's Hard work bein prez and that requires you to keep your focus on the task at hand and you can't burden yourself with the effort of givin to these kind a things.
Those kind a things are for the commoners to do to make them feel better about the situations these people are sufferin

6. Why do you hate America?
President Bush and his wealthy family are rich because God loves them and wants to reward them. How much sense would it make for them to just GIVE that money away? If God wants people to have money, he'll find a way to get it to them! That is, if they're GOOD enough. :sarcasm:

7. Jenna and Barbara recycled their empty beer bottles.
They gave the $ to their church relief group.

Since these girls can really pound down a cold one, it wasn't chump change.

11. Seriously
My boss has offered to close our office for a week..sucking up an incredible loss, so that we can all donate our time and income(And hers as well...oh and every single person in the office agreed...meaning forgoing our paychecks for that period.

Now if my Boss can do that in order to lead by example...you gotta ask yourself what kinda Skin Bush is willing to lay out in order to demonstrate leadership in the cause.

Why hasn't a newspaper looked into this? I thought they'd decided to take off the gloves! Right? Oh wait...just kidding.

14. Who here can find that out?
I'm just a message board ho, I have no idea how to research this. Someone on this board has to know how to find it out--then spread it through the blogosphere

HOW MUCH HAS ** CONTRIBUTED FROM HIS OWN POCKET TO THE RELIEF EFFORT.

He bragged about 10K to tsunami, now how much....

9. Let's Do A Real Bill On Those Photo Ops
How much money did we waste each time asshat went to play damage control photo op? How much was wasted on that Disneyland at Night speech he gave? And for what?

While we're at it, let's charge his old man and that battle axe wife of his for their polluting this sad story. They should be required to take several minority families into their homes. Wouldn't that mess up Bab's beautiful mind.

15. yeah, except who would want to LIVE with them?
I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

Then again, now that ** is in DC, that means the Crawford ranch is empty, right?

So why not let a few families use it as a "vacation home"....it's working out very well for them, after all.... :sarcasm:

17. My First Thought...
...was to build a refugee city on the site of Camp Casey II...right outside meeester boooosh's window. Set up a camp there so he can see every day what his "compassionate conservatism" really means. Wanna bet NOLA gets rebuilt faster?

16. Donated!? Hell, Bar wants to hit the victims up for a loan.
That bug-eyed old lush noted "how well things were working out for them", and figured those ungrateful darkies should slip her a couple of bucks.
