11. i'm a bit concerned about that link for donations....

I donated there a few days after the storm passed but the withdrawal has not yet appeared on my online bank statement. Their infrastructure for accepting donations may not be available. For now, I think it's safer to donate to the national SPCA -- the money is going to the same rescue efforts anyway.

According to the LSU vets website, they are working with the Louisiana SPCA anyway. So, I hope the money gets around.
