Why does * look angry every time he's photographed?

The cover of newsweek I saw with * and some guy; he's pointing to the photographer with a big-ass frown on his face.

Why?

(also, wo pages later in the obligatory Katrina article, there's a pic of a bunch of people in a rescue shelter. There's a cop with a blue vest walking around. His face is to the camera. His vest reads "SECRET SERVICE". (uh, doesn't that make himself less than secret now?)

The speech last night started at his normal bedtime, and he flew all the way back to Washington after that. There is a bed for the pres on Air Force One, though.

It's hard work trying to look on top of things, especially when you've been letting subordinates handle everything for years.

Bush may have finally gotten the message he's too hands off in his style, and it's starting to dawn on him how much work is required. He's probably being forced to let Katrina meetings run their course, rather than adjourn them when he needs to pee. It was actually a news item a few days ago about how full his schedule is lately.

He'll get tired of it and be back to form in a few more days.
