So who else believes in the magic money fairy
President Bush on Friday ruled out raising taxes to pay for Gulf Coast reconstruction, saying other government spending must be cut. "You bet it will cost money, but I'm confident we can handle it," he said. ""It's going to cost whatever it's going to cost, and we're going to be wise about the money we spend," Bush said a day after laying out an expensive plan for rebuilding New Orleans and the Gulf Coast without spelling out how he would pay for it.

We in this case means you, your children and your children's children.

2. He's going to cut unnecessary spending ...
but if it's "unnecessary", why are they spending it now? Wouldn't you like to be able to find that kind of money in your budget by cutting "unnecessary" spending?

:wtf:

5. Guess what "unnecessary" means....
to Republicans. Programs for the poor and education programs will take the brunt of the "cuts". They'll actually cut the programs for the people they're supposedly trying to help. Sure as shit, you can take it to the bank. The fucking Pentagon? They won't touch a dime of the war machine's.

3. Why in the world do Republicans always get away with this
We are going to spend tons of money, cut taxes, and still keep important programs.

Why doesn't anyone ever demand, "HOW?"

4. Rich people know about the magic money fairy...
Edited on Fri Sep-16-05 03:12 PM by libertypirate
It's called inflation....

Usually known as things cost more... Better know to those who already own our nation as the re-evaluation of value. If you own some value, guess what inflation will give you more...

If you don't think it's this blatent great give me a reason.

Inflation is only really any good for people who already own the value. If you work paycheck to paycheck, your working for less then you did; and cost of living is always behind the rise in inflation.

On edit in real terms inflation is a systematic net loss in value of the have not crowd, which mysteriously shows up in the have mores pockets.

9. More deficit spending
means more bonds sold to the Japanese, Koreans, and especially the Chinese. I am sure President Hu will be happy to oblige, then cash in his chips at the most opportune moment. Better to have the US become a wholly owned subsidiary of East Asia than to have the rich pay taxes. :sarcasm:

10. I wonder where Alaska thinks that $200 million is coming from
for that bridge for 50 people on an island?

Guess they're counting on global warming to be real so that people flock to Alaska to live . . .
