I'm wondering if bunnypants wants a New Orleans that's purely a high-brow retreat, nobody under a mil a year net income welcome.

What I expect is a New Orleans rebuild painfully and slowly by the inhabitants with some help from the state of Louisiana, and damn little from the Feds.

Let's be honest. The river delta ain't the most attractive place in the world. The reason I love New Orleans is the people, the culture, the feel of the place. Only the people can bring that to the new New Orleans.
