Keep in mind that I only get 200 words.
The GOP plan for rebuilding the gulf coast is opportunity zones, build higher, and a homestead act. To pay for this, the administration will, no doubt, repeal the tax cuts for the rich, stop talking about eliminating the inheritance tax, quash the bankruptcy bill, reduce spending in Iraq, and void the 7.5 billion in pork he and his administration just approved? Nope, they want to cut more services from the same poor and homeless that they are claiming to help. We as a country would not want to inconvenience the wealthy while they are busy counting the millions bush has put into their portfolios or bother Halliburton while it's gearing up for the endless no-bid contracts that they will receive from their biggest investors.
When our President says, "As all of us saw on television, there is also some deep, persistent poverty in this region as well", does that make you stop and think that he did not know that poverty existed in N.O. until he viewed it on Fox News. Does The President realize that poverty exists throughout the country, not just on the Gulf Coast? Moreover, he has done nothing in his 5 years to help them.
