I've watched CNN to see if they would have the story and they spent 1/2 hr. on a fire near but not in NO telling us how firefighters fight fires. so far they haven't told the story

want to clarify - I missed the very beginning of the story and they said youngest child - I don't know if his youngest is male or female.

46. NO, and I'll tell you WHY... "Family Values" and Enlightened Despotism)
THESE are the hypocrites who are talking about 'family values' as if they mean something besides 'hate gays' and 'exploit religous voters'.

If "family values" MEANS anything, it means that by having a house with a father and mother, good (private) education, etc. your children will be BETTER than those who don't...

If you're WEALTHY, I'm thinking, GENERALLY, YOU SHOULD BE BETTER, right? Better education, no adversity to overcome, etc., - you should be a goddamn SAINT, right? Help the poor, rise to a high spiritual level, all that crap.

As far as I'm concerned, these kids are POSTER CHILDREN for a 100% inheritance tax over a certain amount, and that 'family values' means NOTHING...

70. the one who got busted for public sex
We've got a question for Florida Governor Jeb Bush: It's 10 p.m., do you know where your children are? Well, at that time on October 7, Bush's 16-year-old son John (aka Jebby, if you can believe it) was getting busy in a Jeep Cherokee in the parking lot of a Tallahassee mall. As this police report notes, a pair of nosy rent-a-cops caught Bush and a 17-year-old female companion fogging the car's windows--both were naked from the waist down, save Jebby's socks. source: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/jebby1.html

Not to be confused with the eco-terrorist George P. Bush, another of Jeb's boys, who tore up his ex-girlfriend's yard after breaking into her house and arguing with her father. source: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/georgep1.html

Aside from all of this, can't the family name the kids after non-relatives?

For some interesting reading, Google Noelle (duaghter of Jeb) Bush. Drug abuse, forging prescriptions, ID theft.

Jeb's wife, Columba, was caught a couple of years back while going through Customs after a European shopping spree. Seems she had "forgotten" to declare a sizeable amount of her purchases.

Jeb Bush's son arrested for public intoxication, resisting arrest

The Associated Press
September 16. 2005 5:32PM

John Ellis Bush, the youngest son of Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, was arrested early Friday and charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest, law enforcement officials in Texas said.

The 21-year-old nephew of President Bush was arrested by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission at 2:30 a.m. Friday on a corner of Austin's Sixth Street bar district, said spokesman Roger Wade.

John Ellis Bush was released on $2,500 bond for resisting arrest, and on a personal recognizance bond for the public intoxication charge, officials said.

Alia Faraj, the spokeswoman for Jeb Bush said the incident "is a personal family matter" which the governor and his wife "are dealing with privately."

It's not the first time Florida's first family has experienced legal problems with one of their children.

Noelle Bush, the governor's daughter, was arrested in January 2002 and was accused of trying to pass a fraudulent prescription at a Tallahassee pharmacy to obtain the anti-anxiety drug Xanax. She completed a drug rehabilitation program in August 2003 and a judge dismissed the drug charges against her.

Noelle Bush was sent to jail twice for violating rules during her rehab stint. She was jailed for three days in July 2002 after being caught with prescription pills and served 10 days a month later after being accused of having a small rock of crack cocaine in her shoe.

53. If I were born into that family, I'd try to drink myself to death.

55. If I were a Bush, I would be drunk 24/7/365
Then I would hang myself and leave a note that reveals all about my lousy family!

58. Is this one, George Prescott Bush? The one who they appear to be
grooming for yet another Bushco pResidency?

Or is the one that David Corn said violated Florida sodomy laws and wasn't arrested?

Our kids are drunk. So we're going to have to tell you how to raise yours instead.

62. Don't forget genetic predisposition
for alcoholism/addiction.

As someone mentioned earlier this is a wretched family and surely the emotional environment was one stressor.

But some fine people have been addicts and not everyone has yet recognized or overcome it at such young ages. In fact it isn't always so obvious at such young ages.

To be fair to the young bushites we should give them a choice...a long jail term or rehab and the army.

63. youthful indiscretion phase of Bu$h Family/GOP life cycle*
sometimes known as the Hastert Rule

make copies of the police reports... they'll likely disappear by the time he turns 40

* family values not applicable; it's a private issue unless you're a have not, Democrat or have the surname Kennedy

73. Nice souvenir
to remind us what kind of kids Repukes have.

I am so disgusted with the way Repuke family and (former) friends parent their kids. This is how their kids have turned out:

Fucked up kids.

Let's see:

One In juvie most of his teenage years, in and out of jail afterwards
One 17 and already a father
One mortally anorexic
One in a mental institution in NY

I could add to the list but it just gets sadder and sadder. The Repuke way is not designed for a child's success.

76. FYI the GOP makes family values an issue
in every election. Why can't they raise their children properly, yet point their fingers at others? It's called hypocrisy and yes, it is important.
