Edited on Fri Sep-16-05 06:39 PM by Pirate Smile
David Shuster just reported that even though it was already figured out here on DU last night.

edit to add DoctorMyEyes' post - the post linking to the interview that showed they were alive.

Bemboom mother and baby are ALIVE
I don't know what to make of this. Is this a different mother and baby, or is the report wrong?

2. Wonderful news!
But the sad part is that we know babies did die and they didn't have to and the blame for that rests squarely with * and his corrupt administration.

4. Well, MSNBC reported that he had died. It was a long thread and later
someone found an interview on a local network with her and the baby. She looked wiped out and tired. She said living in a shelter for two weeks sucks but they were alive.

5. Well, Bin Laden, Al-Zarqawi, and a hundred other Number 3 men, but
this was about a child at the New Orleans Convention Center who was sick during the evacuations, and whose mother was seen pleading for help because the baby was unresponsive.

Glad to hear this one's still alive.

8. Here was the thread from yesterday.
"Remember the NOLA baby that wasn't waking up so easily? He died
Edited on Thu Sep-15-05 04:34 PM by eleny

I believe that the lady was outside the convention center. She was holding her baby and saying he wasn't waking up so easily.

I'm just now watching MSNBC and they reported that the baby had died. This was the first I heard about him. One of many for sure. But they showed that lady several times over these weeks.

"The "he's not waking up very easy" baby at the Convention Center died?
Edited on Thu Sep-15-05 04:39 PM by Pirate Smile

Is that what they just said on MSNBC in David Shuster's taped piece?

It was a white woman with a baby at the convention center - they showed them repeatedly - she looked hot and worn out and said "look, he's not waking up very easy".

One time she was saying "this isn't about white people or black people or rich people or poor people, it is just about people".

Did anyone just see that? I thought that was what they said.

edit to add - I see another thread - Yes, the baby died.

The Mom in the light blue shirt holding the naked baby. She is in the middle of the collage.

10. Nope, she was shoe shopping. It isn't my collage but I posted it over
here to show who they were talking about. I think a lot of people would recognize her - MSNBC showed her many, many times.
