did anyone watch Washington Journal this a.m. on c-span?

what's the deal with having TIME on the whole 3 hrs.

and none of the guests said anything pertinent.

I know they had this planned last wk. as they advertised it. but 3 hrs. of saying nothing very carefully?

with all that's going on they have a 3 hr. friendly chit chat with the employess of TIME?

did c-span think they would actually hear 'news'?

Is it just me?

Time is as common as apple pie in the US and I guess they let us meet the editors.

Many times he would ignore caller's questions and ask one of his own. Anyone else notice?

7. I think steve scully is an arrogant creep and many times

yelled at him this morning and got no one's attention.

That one time he cut a lady off and thought that was her question and he went back to her and she told him ..he had cut her off before she got to ask the question and then he Cut her off Again!

I was hoping People who were involved would e-mail c-span and let them know what they think of mr. scully.

and I thought 'oh ho' his hand print will be on this show.

I've often wondered what the power play looked like at c-span in the back offices. and if the women hosts have the same pay and job perks as the men, etc.

5. I watched intermittently...

My biggest impression was the obvious right leaning of the Editor. He actually said he had not heard of the meetings between ken lay and Arnold. Also, he really seemed to downplay the gravity of the whole Treasongate situation. There was a caller who had all the rush/faux talking points about Wilson being from "extreme left", "everyone knew Plame's name" , blah blah blah... I may have missed it but I did not hear him correct the caller.

10. I think I did hear kelly say that no one knew she was "deep cover"

Hey I just realized that in the nixon time of watergate we had "deep throat" and Now we have wilsongate "deep cover"!

6. I saw the first part of it before I had to head out to work....

I thought it was pretty interesting..actually I was just looking at the morning pages of DU to see if anyone had watched it and there was nothing. And now I see your post.

There were some good callers which is what I like to hear..Callers from all over America complaining about bush! Works for me.
There was a man from Honolulu who was asking if the reporters were censored. There was a woman who mentioned Greg Palast book and asked Jim Kelly(managing editor of time) if he knew about the meeting between arnie and enron..and he said "no". Kelly is a newsman ..do you think he would at least Care about the meeting between arnie and enron..hmmm?

Nancy Gibbs talked about the reservist from Maine(Chris Coffin) who was on his last day in the reservist when they called him to go over to Iraq and Die! Oh, but the world is a better place without sadam (whereever the hell he is):grr:

about "all the talk on c-span about Bush, and it's not true!" For the true believer, no criticism of Bush is true, apparently.

11. I wondered the same thing

and came to the conclusion that the White House put 'em up to it, I know it sounds crazy. But man this whole thing is becoming crazy and it appears that Joe Wilson must look crazy in order to bring back creditability to this administration.

and noticed not one thing of susbstance was said. It was the most boring, vacuous program I have ever seen on C-SPAN. I finally just changed the channel.

12. I just thought of something else that pisst me off about jim kelly

managing editor of "time"...

A man caller said it was all about "Wilson self-promotion" and kelly said "well he did write the op-ed piece in the NYT"...duh

So now it's all about "self promotion" according to the cheese class!

We shall see how much is about "self promoting" Wilson and how much is about whomever in the WH leaking the story to the "6 jounalists"!


Oh, and one caller said the other 5 journalist had the integrity Not to reveal the CIA operative and novak Lacked the integrity!

15. Something important was said

The one lady was saying how all of the Iraqi scientist said that the WMD's were destroyed after the 1991 war by the U.N. workers and that Hussein never started it back up. This make Bush, Powell and Rumsfeld all liars.
