I hate that the RW has brainwashed us into believing that South America
Edited on Sat Sep-17-05 02:58 AM by Melodybe
is only capable of producing violent and criminal leaders.

The most violent and horrorible regimes in South America were sponsored by the USA. Go read up on Iran Contra and Henry Kissenger's death squads, it is so important that all Americans know about what OUR government has being doing to people.

Our government has said to almost every third world country, "be our slaves, or die"

I could not imagine the USA being more vile.

Read up on the actually writings of Che Guevara and Hugo Chavez, you just have no clue how cool they are.

Chavez is a voice of hope and reason, I hope that you give him a chance, he's brilliant.

1. Color
It is all about color! Black, brown, red, yellow...it ain't white! You need to watch Chris Rock's newest show (at Constitution Hall)..."If it's all white, it's all right!" (not the name of the show...I think the show is "Never Scared.")

The RW is all about "we have to take out the dictators who abuse there people." Ever notice the only dictators that seem to be so bad have oil? The only time the RW likes the color "black?" When it is OIL!

3. Seen it, love it, love Chris Rock, and I hate that he was right about
that train never being late.

6. The Train!
You are so right! That is the scariest part. He was so accurate in his comedy act. It is an ultimate form of "comic tragedy" because it is funny that it's true, but not funny at the same time. Glad to know there is another Chris Rock fan around! He actually makes a lot of sense.

injustice of this world.

2. I comletely agree. It's like we see "the South" as "dirty" how shameful
I hope that us in North America (especially the US) can see that our self-interests lie in helping South Amercia rather that victimizing/using South America for their resoucrces & cheap labor.

It is the secret shame of the Americas that this tragedy has been allowed to go on for FAR too long. Let us join our brothers/sisters in freeing South America from corporate victimization & we will do MUCH to help free ourselves from our current distress.

4. They killed Che Guevara because he was the first real voice

for thrid world countries.

He was such a threat to corporations and governments that Russia, Castro, and the CIA all wanted him dead.

Steven Soderberg is currently filming a Che Guevara bio-pic starring Benico Del Toro as Che. The casting is perfect, Soderberg is going to tell the real story of Che, I'm telling you now, he was another great leader that destroyed, killed, and dishonored by Bushco.

Unlike Che, Chavez welds greater political and global power than Che was ever allowed to get.

They better not mess with Chavez, the world loves him.

5. The Motorcycle Diaries
Though not totally a bio-pic, it gave me enough of a glimpse of Che to see at what moment the lightbulb went on in his head - enough to know that he probably wasn't the bogeyman that some (and we know who they are) label him to be.

Even if one of the main characters wasn't Che Guevara, it's a great film anyway. If you haven't seen it, you should.

7. Isn't it awesome?
I have it on DVD.

Did you know that he taught all of his bodyguards how to read?

He would especially ask for illiterates to guard him, when they learned to read, they were re-assigned.

Che was such a great man, the way that the RW has vilified him is a crime against humanity.

You are talking about "South" America... right??

As far as producing violent regimes goes... it depends on who they are working for.... just how violent they are perceived to be.

About the SOA/ WHINSEC

The US Army School of Americas (SOA), based in Fort Benning, Georgia, trains Latin American security personnel in combat, counter-insurgency, and counter-narcotics. SOA graduates are responsible for some of the worst human rights abuses in Latin America. In 1996 the Pentagon was forced to release training manuals used at the school that advocated torture, extortion and execution. Among the SOA's nearly 60,000 graduates are notorious dictators Manuel Noriega and Omar Torrijos of Panama, Leopoldo Galtieri and Roberto Viola of Argentina, Juan Velasco Alvarado of Peru, Guillermo Rodriguez of Ecuador, and Hugo Banzer Suarez of Bolivia. Lower-level SOA graduates have participated in human rights abuses that include the assassination of Archbishop Oscar Romero and the El Mozote Massacre of 900 civilians. (See Grads in the News.)
