The DailyHowler takes it to Tweety today
I believe it will be much easier for Tweety to have a bowel movement after he reads today's Daily Howler. Bob Somerby reams him a new one.

snip>

"GROPE THIS: How low in character is Washington’s “press corps?” Chris Matthews has long been the low of the low, and he proved it again on last Friday night’s Hardball"

"ALLRED: What I’m concerned about is what Arnold Schwarzenegger has done, what he has allegedly done to women, to the six women who reported incidents to the L. A. Times. We don’t know if it is true or not, but Mr. Schwarzenegger himself, Chris, said where there’s smoke, there’s fire. He suggested that he acted badly.
MATTHEWS: Right.

ALLRED: He suggested that he apologize. But he didn’t specifically say what he did. We’re not stupid. The Times reported that he grabbed women’s breasts, that he grabbed under their skirt and to their buttocks"

end snip

It seems like the more one is exposed to Tweety, the more dispicable he becomes. He isn't a journalist. He is a propagandist. He truly does fit in the repukelican party as he has no bottom.

Sombersby tags him perfectly near the end of today's article:

snip:

"Of course, Matthews has always been a sand-kicking bully when female guests talk back on Hardball. We have written in the past about his rude putdowns of Norah O’Donnell, Elizabeth Holtzman, Kiki Moore, Mary Boyle. Let’s say this for Bill O’Reilly—he tells men that they ought to shut up. Matthews—a 98-pound bully and coward—likes to say “shut up” to women."

1. That episode was the last I will ever watch of Hardball
I was so disgusted with her treatment by Matthews. He even said at one point to her: "My producer is telling me to shut you up, but I am trying to be polite" (I don't know if that is an exact quote). He is just as rude and smarmy as Bush. Thanks for the link.

2. me too!
as I turned off the TV, I said to myself there's no point in watching that fuck ever again. That was one of the rudest thing I've ever seen, with Pat Buchanan shouting down Harold Ford a close second. MSNBC sucks.

3. MSGOP is very anti-female
They do not have one single female host. They used to have that one woman with the glasses, but the content they gave her was human interest stories - not hard news.

Norah O'Donnell is 100 times more intelligent than Tweety, but you'll never see her have her own show.

I do admit to watching Keith Olberman, but that's the only one.

4. "Locker room humor"
One of the women who was groped said that other guys on the set witnessed it and just stood around laughing. Reminds me of that woman who was gang raped on the pool table and all the guys thought it was great fun.

5. Was that the Hardball episode.......
where Chris Matthews insisted on comparing Arnold's candidacy to that of Robert Redford's character in "The Candidate?" He kept showing clips of Robert Redford side-by-side with clips of Arnold. I couldn't believe the complete and utter Arnold-whoreishness I witnessed from Matthews. Truly a new low!

9. Somerby nails him
As well as Andrew Bareback and MoDo, for screwing up all the little details that (as lawyers say) distinguish Ah-nuld from Bill Clinton. Little details like the concept of "consent," who was "in charge" of what, and how old Monica Lewinsky was when she was pursuing a relationship with the Big Jerk (as she fondly remembered him to her good friend Linda).

Sure, Ah-nuld gropes women on a movie set, but he's not in charge. Yeah, the star and highest paid person doesn't have any authority whatsoever on a movie set. Sure. Uh huh. But Clinton, by virtue of being the governor of Arkansas has total authority over everyone in the state (Gennifer Flowers) or as president over anyone in the country (Lewinsky and Kathleen Willey). Yeah, I can see that. Hey, why isn't the sky blue anymore? What planet is this?

And Tweety doesn't even have the moxie to tell women to shut up himself. He blames his unseen and unheard producer, babbling in his earpiece. What a tiny little man Tweety is.
