Why Arnold Could be Good for Us.......
Edited on Mon Oct-06-03 12:42 PM by Dob Bole
If the worst-case scenario (besides McClintock) should happen and Arnold win the California recall election, wouldn't that be good for us? This NYT article thinks so: http://www.nytimes.com/2003/10/06/politics/06CALI.html

Think about it. Arnold wins. Deficit is still there. So for 2004 there is
a)further proof that Republicans can't manage money
b)shattering of the "family values" image that is a base for a lot of Bush support.
c)Bush and Arnold, the 2 most famous Republicans in the country, will have to distance themselves from each other and blame each other for various problems.

Edit: So while this would suck for everybody, it would suck more for Republicans, who will have screwed themselves by starting this recall in the first place.

1. What might be good for you will not be good for my state
and that is what counts.

3. Arnold is just cover for Enron/Ashcroft
Once they get rid of Davis they can backoffice the deal with Enron and finalized the theft from the good people of Cali. Arnold is just a toss off candidate. His job is to close the barn door after Enron has fled the scene.

6. It is much better if we defeat the puke power grab
This is a power grab and a thwarting of the people's will and democracy. Nothing will make that better.

Period.

This election matters and every Californian should vote no on the recall and yes on Bustamante.

7. I've always worried that
as sson as an R became governor, the Fed will do everything possible to help California to dig out of it's problems. Thus, making the R's look like more competent adminstrators. I always go back to Rove's patience and long term plan for the Rs to achieve a majority everywhere.
