Freeper Debating Skills
It always amazes me how the freepers can never seem to engage in meaningful dialog or debate.

Whenever they don't know how to respond to something, they resort to name-calling and other diversionary tactics.

In one of the entries on my blog, I talked about the Roberts' confirmation hearing, and his response to a question from Sen. Diane Feinstein. I was hoping we could have a substantive debate on that.

Instead, a freeper resorted to calling Sen. Feinstein a "Communist and FREAK."

I asked--is that all you can bring to the table? No response about the substance (or lack thereof) of John Roberts' answers, and his avoidance of direct responses.

Just attack Feinstein as a commie and freak.

They have no shame. And no intelligence.

1. They are also very good a quoting soundbites from Hannity,
Limbaugh and Coulter.

They call Hugo Chavez a socialist despot, but have no idea what that even means.

3. So very true
You know, there is a fundamental difference between our talking heads and their's.

You take Randi Rhodes, for example. I have heard her say so many times how important it is to read for yourself. She posts a lot of informative articles and information on her website. But she's always saying don't just take the information she gives you. Go do your own research and find information.

People like Limbaugh want their audiences dumb. They don't encourage them to seek information and do their ownr research. They want to be the only source of information for their audiences.

2. They also say 'liburl' media a lot
When given the facts, that's an old ploy they resort to after losing an argument. I guess they have to convince themselves they won :eyes:

4. And THIS is how they really act...I posted this yesterday....

The article is about Kerry and Corzine's appearances in NJ last Saturday, but there was a little story within the story that I got a laugh out of...the freeper protestors who are SO brave from a distance but who scatter like cockroaches out of fear if they even think they'll have to debate their target.

I think Dems should make a point out of confronting freepers and protestors at every appearance they make. Grab the "bull shitters" by the horns and HAVE those mini-debates wherever they show up. Obviously, they have nothing backing up their charges and will scatter out of fear first.

On the patio at Jimmy’s Haunt in Morristown, the place was packed and hot and perhaps inevitably someone’s knees buckled. Brenda Deming of Randolph said she usually eats a full breakfast and goes to outdoor political events armed with plenty of water but wooziness set in before Kerry reached the stage.

When someone asked her if she needed an ambulance she muttered “yeah,” and when the rig nosed its way up the Jimmy’s Haunt driveway where a gaggle of counter protestors held aloft signs that read “Didn’t Kerry lose?” and “It’s the Corruption, Stupid,” a broadside at Corzine, Deming didn’t remember what happened next until she was on a gurney and a figure loomed over her.

“Where is she?” Kerry had asked when he appeared finally and an emergency medical technician told him a woman had collapsed. Seconds later he was breaking from the crowd and walking across the driveway toward the ambulance. Seeing him suddenly up close and bearing down on them determinedly, the anti-Corzine protestors scattered, dragging their signs in a flurry of retreat and ultimately re-entrenching near the back of the parking lot. The ambulance’s double doors opened and Kerry hopped in.

5. You are so correct.
I moderate a message board for a comedian, and once in a while we get one of those Freepers (we call them *ssholes) on the site. No debating skills at all. Just the other night I had to lock a thread because of their ignorance. And they always end up saying: "If you don't like it in here, why don't you leave the country"?
