And then get upset when everyone doesn't agree with them? GD is not a nice place. But it is an important place. A lot of ideas get passed back and forth here. A lot of preconceptions get challenged here and as a result tempers flare.

DU however is not just GD. There are many other areas you can spend time at and get a completely different feel. The Lounge is far more laid back. The various subgroups have their own flavor. Before you leave consider looking to different groups to see if you can find a place to call home.

I was a Young Marine when I was in 7th grade. I really enjoyed it. Hiking, rock-climbing, camping....it was great. They never reimbursed me for anything. I didn't get paid for squat. In fact, I had to sell candy bars to pay for the combat boots and camping trips. After 6 months, I tired of it and dropped out. I never dreamed of joining the real Marines!

I guess the lesson is: Never go in the GD!

YOu have been here 14 months and have a low post count, you know how it gets and we get what GD has to give sometimes (meaning this :spank: without the smile on the recipients face!)... can't tell you how many times Ive gotten racked up and served for dinner in GD. WE ALL DO! Especially the more vocal and well known you are.

Take some time out from GD but don't quit DU over it... don't quit posting either.
