Sick of farewell posts.

Who are these people? I could understand if someone had 5000+ posts. But this is a community of more than 70k.

It's a bummer that you folks have decided not to partake in the largest progressive cyber think tank. But what kind of drama queens do you have to be to make your grand exits announcing to everyone on the board?

It's just weird to me. I am seeing these on a daily basis and just think it's rather egotistical and a scream for attention. "PLEASE SOMEONE NOTICE ME. TELL ME NOT TO GO. ASK ME WHY. AND BEG ME NOT TO LEAVE."

I say don't flatter yourselves. Sorry that you couldn't get along with other posters. But this is cyber world. Not the PHYSICAL world. I can't imagine what your "walking on eggshells" existence must be like for your acquaintances.

For god sakes man...thicken up that hide! Get a grip. You can just go. And don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya.

56. I was just exampling how simple and easy it is to leave. It doesn't

have to be some long Shakespearian type eulogy explaining deep feelings of disillusionment or despair. In fact, it can be a happy thing... perhaps like the "second line" in NO after a funeral. Perhaps like the party they throw instead of a solemn funeral in some cultures. I have heard that in some cultures there is crying when a baby is born and laughter and cheer when someone departs.

Anyhoo, I was pretending that I was leaving... and I was showing just about how I would do it.... Now who could hate a departure thread built like that??? Simply.... "goodbye".

First few posts I answered I got flamed for being a freeper. I wasn't even sure what a freeper was.

Then I felt guilty because I HAVE read that site (it's funny) but God knows I sure never posted there!

If I have any complaint about DU at all it is that it is SO huge it is sometimes hard to get a conversation going. It moved fast.
