LOS ANGELES After a 55-year wait, a Jewish veteran will receive the Medal of Honor.

Tibor Rubin promised to join the U-S army after American Troops freed him from a concentration camp in Austria at the end of World War Two.

Rubin, who is a Hungarian Jew, immigrated to New York after the war, joined the army and fought on the front lines of the Korean War.

He was captured by Chinese troops in 1951 and spent 2-and-a-half years as a prisoner of war.
