Chavez: U.S. Plans to Invade Venezuela

WASHINGTON - Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said Friday he has documentary evidence that the United States plans to invade his country.

Chavez, interviewed on ABC's "Nightline," said the plan is called "Balboa" and involves aircraft carriers and planes. A transcript of the interview was made available by "Nightline."

He said U.S. soldiers recently went to Curacao, an island off Venezuela's northwest coast. He described as a "lie" the official U.S. explanation that they visited Curacao for rest and recreation.

"They were doing movements. They were doing maneuvers," Chavez said, speaking through a translator.

He added: "We are coming up with the counter-Balboa plan. That is to say if the government of the United States attempts to commit the foolhardy enterprise of attacking us, it would be embarked on a 100-year war. We are prepared."

I think this is probably the one moment where I would tell Chavez "nah not gonna happen man you're gettin a little paranoid here"

Oh sure I would not put it past the PNAC backed Bush Crime Family to slaughter children for oil much less attempt to topple another sovereign nation.

However this is one war you gotta admit NOBODY except for the Pat Roberton Cult would support. I mean even the pro-war crowd believes our mission is to call the a-arabs....well there aren't any a-rabs in South America at least no countries that strongly support and protect Islamic Extremists and the like.

Not to mention no military to pull off such an operation and to boot there is no gross human rights violations to use on the simpleton flat earthers with this one......it would just boil down "we're goin to war with Chavez cause....well we feel like it"


Well anyways that's my two cents it won't happen I'd say we're 10 times more likely to invade Iran or even Saudia Arabia then Venezula; the simple fact is NOBODY I mean NOBODY would stand for it.

the USA going and no one is shooting at them here,. Lets face it ben Larden has won the other war. Not that we were not sweet and gave him thousands of new people to join up with him and no one wants to join up with us. Odd how this all worked out.

3. My how quickly the olive branch

is tossed aside. Wasn't it just a few days ago, Hugo Chavez offered to help in the wake of Katrina?

And didn't the U.S. accept the help? I think there was even a thread entitled 'U.S. pleads with Venezuela for help'.
