I have a confession to make.
As much as I have tried, I just can't stand Ariana Huffington.

Is there something wrong with me, or does anyone agree?

The thing is, she emulates this James Carvelle-like, knee jerk pontification when she is on air.

Sometimes, it seems to me that she is more interested in reaction than progress.

Is it just me?

Thx!

1. I have dreams, that Arianna and I are dating...
my wife gets mad at me, when she is on CNN or the like, even though I find the dreams troubling. My wife thinks its a crush.

I think it is too much damned CNN.

3. She is an attractive, smart woman, I'll give her that.
But it seems that she would consider herself smarter than anyone who would seek conversation with her.

Kinda' snobbish, or something. I don't know.

2. I Figure "Huffington" Says It All
I don't hear her on the radio. She's been making a lot of sense lately in print, though. I figure she's making up for lost time.

5. I like her because she seems to be equally critical of the repubs as dems.
I respect fairmindedness.

I used to hate her when she was buying into the whole Newt Gingrinch revolution thing, but once she saw she was being used, she switched gears and I have a lot of respect for that.

6. I like Ariana. I love her comments and pontofication. Now Ann Coulter
I hate. Note sure if I hate her more than * or less. The TV station gets changed faster when Coulter is on.

Do you "like" her because she uses the same methods to proclaim issues to your liking?

15. I don't think Arianna and Coulter use the same methods....
Arianna tries reason with cutting humor.

Coulter is just a mean spirited bitch.

Arianna seems to have a modicum of compassion, whereas Coulter just spews vitriol.

29. Ann Coulter is full of hate. She makes most snakes look harmless
with the venom she spews. Yes, I do like people that agree with me. Ariana seems to be extremely smart and goes right to the point. Coulter is just nuts.

Dignified dissent.

19. Dignified is
Knowledge of our nation not as a world but as a part of the world.

Knowledge that differences of ideas need not seek to cancel each other out; but rather, reach consensis whenever possibe.

Knowledge that as a government may proclaim spoils and various victories, there are young men and women lying filthy in a place they have never been, waiting to be saved.

Knowledge that there is a great expance of differences outside the confines of one man's mind.

Ability to project this knowledge in the face of adversity.

etc. . .

31. No need to be abrasive. . .
Maybe you didn't read my "Thank You" post.

There is a difference between sitting on a paid panel, joining in a yelling match that gets too personal too soon and what I see in Mr. Kerry, that's all.

I suppose that's why they make vanilla chocolate and strawberry ice cream.

22. Anyway. . .
I do enjoy reading her blog. I think she is very smart, even brilliant. I am not knocking her, I just get this weird feeling of aggravation watching her.

I don't think that inciting people into anger helps an argument. However, I will say that she never throws the first punch.

32. You don't have to incite a republican to anger...
This is in their nature. They know their causes are unjust and indefensible, so the anger and inbred feelings of victim hood is all the have to bring to the table.

25. maybe it is her accent that you find
objectionable. She doesn't sound down home and she sounds educated and like she lived with money for a long time.

I like it that she divorced her repuke husband who tried to buy California, and then she turned liberal democrat. I like her views and how she states them. She has a sense of humor and a very sharp wit.

Sorry you don't like her. Maybe if you knew her by her real name, Arianna, you would like her better. ;)

and her opportunistic change of position hasn't made her smarter, in my estimation.
