"LONDON, England (AP) -- Supermodel Kate Moss acknowledged to the Hennes & Mauritz clothing chain that tabloid allegations that she recently used cocaine are true, an H&M spokeswoman said Saturday.

"Moss, who is to model one of H&M's upcoming clothing lines, has apologized for her drug use and promised in writing to abide by a company policy that models be "healthy, wholesome and sound," spokeswoman Liv Asarnoj said."

And by the way, to the people mocking the "supermodel" thing: the big deal in the UK is that she has a 3 year-old kid, and a world-class bottom-feeding junkie boyfriend. Another Courtney Love...her kid deserves better (or so the Brit public thinks).

I've got no problem with anyone doing whatever they want. However, being the eldest son of an alcoholic couple, I can say that I wouldn't have minded if anyone -- ANYONE -- had stepped in and helped me out a bit.

Nobody really gives a shit about the other 5000 or so other "supermodels" doing blow.

There's also that pesky "role model for the girls" thing. Rightly or wrongly, she is. Walk up Oxford St. in London you'll see her face everywhere. Her appeal (for lack of a better term) among kids in the UK is much more broad than even Courtney Love's...that's why "parents" are getting in on it (the tabloid's "hook").

And, again unlike Love, the child's biological father is a decent, straight-up bloke, and he's fucking incensed that she got custody in the first place.
