13. Ugh, did he really say that?
That was probably back when I didn't realize every comment made by BushCo had to be translated to mean the exact opposite of what was said.

I still think of this as the George Costanza admin...where everything is operating on THe Exact OPposite principle

4. I saw that
He was talking about money for NO, Iraq war, & other domestic issues

vs.

repubs wanting to repeal estate tax and they also want tax cuts for top 1% at the same time

Oh wait, maybe I shouldn't say "amen." I would like to keep church and state separate :)

10. How about something like "I'll vote for that!"
and let's hope there's more people from Diebold that start talking
from what I heard their company is run by fear, if you speak out you
lose your job. I would not want to work or live in a fear zone, ethics
are one thing, constant intimidation is another.

15. Oh what a scary company...
That's interesting what you say about Diebold. "Run by fear" is the kind of thing that appeals to BushCO about a company

I wonder if there is more info about their culture out on the web?

:hi:

18. Here's what I saw on Brad Blog
"Diebold threatened violators with immediate dismissal," the insider, who we'll call DIEB-THROAT, explained recently to The BRAD BLOG via email. "In 2005, after one newly hired member of Diebold's technical staff pointed out the security flaw, he was criticized and isolated."

9. Thank you.........
my brain is rapidly losing the ability to sort out acronyms.....:(

"I think it's important that we don't just assume that George Bush is lying"

That was a portion of his comments made somewhere this weekend. It struck me as clever because, to me, he is making the point that, indeed, most of us DO assume * is lying.....lol.

He also said something to the effect that Dems should "call Bush on his bluff" regarding the plan to rebuild New Orleans.

11. "...don't just assume * is lying"
oooooh, that one was cleverly put, you are right. :woohoo:

and this assertion that *'s promise to back the rebuilding as a bluff...

I think Obama is doing good! He seems to be getting a lot of air time too, which is what the Dems lack. I think last weekend it was in the context of "since you are our only black senator," which made me realize that although the Congress has African Americans, the Senate only has him.

I don't mind having him as our spokesperson. :) Go Obama! :applause:
