ARGGG!! Dem leaders are STILL so *&$# gullible!!
Was flipping through Sunday talk shows and the new Repug talking point is clearly that the "country is weary, doesn't want to assign blame, just wants to move forward" and that "Bush will ultimately be judged on the reconstruction effort, not his piss poor criminally negligent initial response". And Dems listening to this drivel were NODDING THEIR SODDING HEADS OFF!!!

EXCUSE ME, but the country definitely wants and NEEDS to know what the hell went wrong because, oh yeah, after 9/11 this wasn't SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN! Repugs are trying to direct attention to Reconstruction to divert attention from the glaring fact that Homeland Security FAILED their first post 9/11 test and failed BIG!!

Oh wtf. Repugs will screw up Gulf Coast reconstruction as badly as they did Iraqi reconstruction and we can all scream some more and then MAYBE our Democratic leaders will GET A CLUE!!

We are being scammed ... we the sheeple.

If the people of the USA don't "wake up" soon we are in for some of the "worst of times" ... God help us rise above these evil Corporate Fascists.

21. Senate Vichy-Dems think they're part of the Oligarchy
So long as they continue to get their raises, healthcare and pensions all paid for by us, they don't give a shit about us losing our rights.

Unfortunately for them, it's really not an oligarchy, but an autocracy and Bush is the emperor and eventually these Vichy-Dems will be screwed just like the rest of us.

Vote out the DLC Vichy-democrats, they are the ones who are killing us all.

10. Here's a novel idea ...
How about we elect DEMOCRATS who care about the welfare of their constituents FIRST and ALWAYS?!? Not, the large corporate contractors or special interest groups. Nope, a man/woman who UNDERSTANDS the plight of their average middle class constituents, then *works like hell* to represent them in an open and honest way.

How about we elect DEMOCRATS with the moral courage to put their constituents ABOVE their desire to groom themselves for a "life-long" political career.

Where are those public servants?

The Republicans are sick puppies. Yes, the intelligent ones who truly know "the scam" are IMO morally depraved. However, each and every Right Wing monster is PASSIONATE.

Although we do not have the money, WE THE PEOPLE have THE NUMBERS and we do "have the passion."

We need leaders who can organize us into EFFECTIVE interest groups. Hell we are the largest representatives of America: The working and middle class peoples.

The DINOs will soon be bitching at all of us for not supporting the party. Well shit! I hate to quote a koolaid drinking freeper, but for different reasons, The Democratic Party has left me (and the lion's share of it's base). F**k them in 2006 if they keep with the same sorry a** gutless faints and platitudes. We will be patient and rebuild from the ashes once these a**holes leave.

15. Gullible? You are far too kind. They're watching their asses, as usual.
If you look at the votes they've made over the years, they probably signed on to the "cost cutting" measures that prevented the measures that would have lessened the catastrophe.

They don't want "finger pointing" for the same reasons that BushCorp doesn't.

22. Huffington Post blogger shares my frustrations, writes far more eloquantly
than I.

A Deafening Silence from Elected Democrats

The President's Jackson Square speech was one of those rare defining moments in the political life of a country and if the democrats are not careful they are likely to blow it. I don't know who has been giving advice to Congressional democrats since 2001 but whoever it is has been as successful as Bush's "Brownie." In 2002 the geniuses of the Democratic Party decided to give the President his war in Iraq so as to focus the midterm campaign on domestic and especially local issues. In 2004 the mistake of 2002 came back to haunt democrats, especially John Kerry, when they tried to explain why they disliked a war that they had voted for. Kerry was more awkward than most in trying to square that circle, but the entire party looked weak, shifty and opportunistic on national security. It is no wonder the republicans made so many gains in the House and the Senate and held onto the White House.

And if so-called Dem leaders are agreeing with Rove's talking points, then they aren't Dem leaders.

28. Saw Biden and thought I should write Howard Dean and ask him....
If there's anyway he can get the DNC to run a disclaimer whenever he's on the talkshows. "The views expressed by Senator Biden do not represent the views of the majority of Democrats."
