This NO Body Found 9/10! They Just Revovered it Yesterday? *graphic*
Why are they not collecting them sooner? This is so horrible...

The body of a victim of Hurricane Katrina remains in a home in the city's lower ninth ward in New Orleans Saturday Sept. 17, 2005. The body was discovered on Sept. 10 and was being removed today. (AP Photo/Ric Francis)

2. I think it is taking them a lot of time to go to house to house to
assess the situation. But I agree, it is heartbreaking and they should have started sooner and with a larger workforce. :(

4. I think they were just tagging houses and moving on because they were
still looking for survivors (and looters, I suppose). Frankly, although it's gruesome and probably violates certain religious dictates, whether they retrieve a body immediately or days later doesn't improve that body's chances. It's dead. Timely discovery of survivors is more important.

Whether there were enough people working on search and rescue and recovery is another argument altogether -- but, assuming limited resources, I'd rather they leave the dead to find the living.

5. Considering that they were training
search and rescue professionals as PR people for days, is it any wonder we have horrific scenes like this? Who can imagine how many more cases there are?
