Poll question: Freepers and their "cowboy" president...
Do you think Freepers have figured out why their "cowboy" president, who was educated in east coast boarding schools, is the only member of his family with a southern drawl?

Or are they really as gullible as they appear to be?

10. So if they see the fake Rolex on one arm they'll still buy the "diamond"
bracelet on the other?

Interesting when you think about it.

9. I Just Voted For The First Choice -- But You're Closer To The Truth
Just fucking clueless. I've got two freeper parents, and I vacillate between thinking they are a couple of neo-nazis, and that they are simply gone, as in hopelessly lost in space out past the Ort Cloud.

12. I believe the correct term is "willfull ignorance" makes them culpable as
hell. There are big differences between being stupid, being ignorant and being willfully ignorant. I believe most freepers and fundamentalists fall in to the willfully ignorant category, and thusly have no excuses.

The willfully ignorant are a greater threat to society than folks may realize, A genuine hazard, and not deserving of the benefits of a democratic society.

They are the antithesis of an informed, healthy democracy. If theocracy is what they wish for I hope they find it....... somewhere else.

13. Freepers and their cipher president
Sure, the cowboy talks to Gawd -- uses a fake "good ol' boy" accent that changes every time he opens his trap. Sometimes he even slips entirely into a nasal Yankee whine. They simply don't get it. Maybe it's because George Bush is so insubstantial that he's a blank screen. George Bush feeds his disciples' private fantasies of power and dominion, to which they believe they're entitled by God. Intersting how the more brutal and ruthless his behavior gets, the more overtly visceral their loyalty becomes.

The freeper phenomenon is way past politics now. I think Katrina has served to seperate the chaff in some way - or at least begun the process. We have a cult of blind followers in this country now -- and I've become convinced someone has cultivated it with precision and skill.

15. This
sums up the mindset better than almost anything else I've read:

Maybe it's because George Bush is so insubstantial that he's a blank screen. George Bush feeds his disciples' private fantasies of power and dominion, to which they believe they're entitled by God.

Except I might amend it to read "...entitled by their perverse idea of God"... or something similar.

16. I voted but I wanted to say.........
......there should have been an option for 'all of the above'!

Actually I think most Republicans live in a state of denial. According to the polls over the past several months, Bush only has the approval of a little more than a third of the country but for some unexplained reason the Republicans still believe that a majority of the country supports them!!

I have lived in the south for twenty years and sound like lived here all my life sometimes. You know: You all, fixing too, and all that.

So it's no surprise bush has a southern drawl, that's the least of his problems in my book
