House Speaker Tom DeLay contended that Republicans have already reined in expenses and he challenged legislators to show him the fat.

Also, dividend tax and capital gains tax. And move tax on extremely weathy (say over 2 million income) back towards 89% (where it was before Reagan) instead of current 38% (36%?). And restore estate tax above several million (say).

Also, cut out star-wars spending, nuclear weapons research and about 20 other high-tech but unnecessary and/or dangerous military projects.

Three steps:

1) Take out large insurance policy with beneficiary for Clinton-Bush relief effort.

2) Set up Pay-per-view event with all major networks, proceeds to go to above organization.

3) Wear best suit, fill pockets with as many lead weights as will fit, jump off pier, thus helping relief effort and GETTING OUT OF AMERICA'S LIFE ONCE AND FOR ALL.


As Wilford Brimley would say, "It's the right thing to do."
