Missing Dan Rather found
He will be at the Emmys tonight. Wonder what he will say. Maybe not much. There will be a tribute to him, Brokaw, and Jennings, according to the CNN article I read.

1. What happened to Dan Rather is a travesty
Our MSM doesn't want journalists with independence and integrity, and one by one they're getting rid of them.

3. No one wants to admit that a reporter can do his due diligence,
and still get tricked.

Dan Rather did more than most reporters would have to confirm the documents. Unfortuately, the source lied to him.

4. And what happens to the whores at FOX when they lie through their teeth
(which is just about every time they open their mouth.)

You don't see them getting fired.

7. Why is the reporter punished for Rove's tricks?
Soon MSM will be anyone they hire, or even worse, digital animations spewing corporate "news".

6. The Rather story stands for this: Reporters are the Guarantors of stories
and will pay with their careers if it turns out there's a plausible case that it was wrong (or was wrong in fact)

And we wonder where what was left of the media went?

Each time a reporter has a story that seems solid, they have to ask themselves if it's so solid they will be their career on it. Because even with experts and witnesses to back it up, you can still go down.

8. Sean Hannity ran a fake photo of John Kerry with Jane Fonda.
What price did Sean Hannity pay?

9. I don't think anyone in their right mind considers Hannity a newsman.
That would be the difference.
