Get rid of them..Why pretend a certain belief system can protect us from these sociopaths, or some ISM is capable of saving us or a political party can fix a problem if they get beniufiets from keeping that problem alive,We need to get rid of these sociopaths,narcissists,thugs,authoritarians,con men,thieves and bullies..And I do not care how..Get them all OUT of our lives and out of our government and out of this world .A person with integrity cannot co exist with a tyrant without suffering from the bad choices tyrants make to benifiet themselves ..

It is not, as Senator Clinton asserts, "a vast right wing conspiracy." Gangsters are not ideologues. Lacking humanistic values or any future orientation outside their need to hold on power and wealth, their "political" views are entirely instrumental of their goals of domination and subjugation of the greatest number of people for the greatest amount of profit.

Bingo. Many conpiracy theories are in infantile projection of our ideological yearnings for order into the void of the criminal power structure. People suppose a brilliant but evil design in Bush's doings when in fact there is none, except for the Neo-Con's desire to profit.

The author is wrong when he downplays the role of ideology, though. Strauss and Marx both understood that it is fundamental, the ruling class necessarily controls the production of ideas (Marx) in this sense, it truly is the philosopher kings who rule the world. (Strauss) Recommending that we love one another is simply not enough, Jesus tried that long ago. One must continually build a functional ideology off of core values such as Love and Truth.
