It appears that the NWS will go all the way thru the Alphabet this year.

Now wer'e at "R" (Hurricane Rita).

I can't remember so many hurricanes in one year, and I'm almost 50.

What happens when they use up all letters in the alphabet?

Do they go back to A?

6. Thanks, you guys
which begs the next question: all of this severe weather -- can we safely say "Global Warming"?

Bill Clinton said that six (or is it 12)? chunks of ice the size of Rhode Island have broken off the Artic Shelf. I don't know what the time line is, but I remember reading about one such incident here a couple months ago :scared:

8. That's Tropical Storm Rita.....
Edited on Mon Sep-19-05 10:39 AM by MsTryska
since not all tropical storms become hurricanes.

I guess it will be Rita when it turns tho, since we went from Katrina to Ophelia, just like that.
