Dontcha know the oil boys in Houston are rubbing their greasy little palms together in glee over this?

Americans bought the myth, lock, stock and freaking barrel that Katrina was the reason those poor darlings HAD to rape our wallets....Oh! The oil derreks in the gulf!

The ONLY good I see coming out of this crap is that now people won't have the money to shop at WalMart, and that their cheap garbage is going to cost more, and sit on the damn shelves and rot.

2. If another big hurricane shuts down the drilling and refining in Texas
this could become a major catastrophic event (not even considering the loss of human life). Are all or most of the refineries and oil drilling platforms off Louisiana and Mississippi now back on line after Katrina? Anyone have a link?

6. Major hurricanes seem to be the best thing since slice bread for them
Makes me wonder if it's really mother nature? Can we say HAARP Technology?

7. Anyone read/saw the gas station owner in CSPAN saying that if we all stop
driving just one day a week, the impact will force change (I'm paraphrasing a bit) and he described how much his business would hurt if we stopped for just one week, but he said he wouldn't mind hurting for that one week if it brought change...Worth watching/reading
