There's a Common Ground Here, that's why I stay...
I stay here because the LBN is the best resource of current events across the web, bar none, and I applaud them for trying to keep us all current with their eclective finds. There are also some slamming posters, (nothingshocksmeanymore) that researches their brains out and posts us the most relevant and important news from Ca. and other parts of the country to keep us informed, unfortunately the blonde eyed, brain dead idiots in lala land haven't been listening, but hopefully I'm wrong, tomorrow will tell the tell.
Some of us are ABB, some of us are candidate advocates, but one thing I'm sure of, is that we're all good democrats.
I spread the word about the bush* cabal everyday and have garnered some new faces and support for the 2004 election. I'm not giving up, and I hope I can always count on your support here for a place to refer new converts to.
I guess the purpose of my post is to ask what are you doing to win new people and votes over to our side? I could use any and all feedback I could get.

1. One thing I'm doing
I'm donating to my candidate. I won't bore you with who that is. :)

We have an electronic bulletin board at work where we're allowed to discuss politics (with some limits). I make sure that I counter wingnut stuff I see over there. I don't expect to convert any of them (although I suspect that a few traditional conservatives are seeing the light on their own), but I do imagine that I'm making headway with some lurkers.

After the conventions, I plan to stump every day I get a chance just telling people to vote. I figure that anti-Bush types are over-represented in non-voters. If we can get people to vote in large numbers, that could help. I may also donate a few free books to people who didn't vote in 2000 if they send me proof they voted in 2004.

I'm probably only reaching CA, but we're a big, important state.

Edited on Mon Oct-06-03 05:43 PM by nomaco-10
and this recall is a HUGE awakening to all of us that seek to get our country back in 2004. Who woulda thunk it? Arnold, the idiot could win Ca. on a recall!, it gives us all pause to think and rethink our stadegies and what we should be doing to win this country back! IT's MIND BOGGLING.

3. California is a dress rehearsal for the rest of the country.
I don't think any action to prevent the GOP winning there is a small effort, AT ALL!
