Debating that bunch is a waste of time because they truly don't want to debate. Their only reply when someone challenges them is to smear and belittle the opposition. Heaven forbid they should even have to listen to an opposing view, let alone defend theirs or debate the issue on its merits.

If I ever find myself where I have to respond to such idiocy, I try to reply with as many big words as I can think of. They can't give an intelligent response to me anyway, and I may as well get the last laugh seeing them insulted without even knowing it!

8. My point is that it is racist to assume that public assistance programs

are an institutional tool to keep African Americans dependent on the government, when the reality is people of all ethnicities receive welfare, including white people, who are the largest single recipient group, probably by a large margin. I don't know what the percentages currently are, and I don't care enough to look it up.

I am content to revert to past reading on the subject that has shaped my perception. I know there are more white people receiving public assistance than any other group, but I do not know what the breakdown is. I am quite content with this.

Let's break this down.
What percentage of blacks are on welfare?
What percentage of whites are on welfare?
What percentage of hispanics are n welfare?


Just saying there are more whites on welfare than blacks is faulty logic.

If everything was equal in numbers of whites and blacks than John Kerry would be president. Because by your logic 90 percent of the black population voted for John Kerry and only 57 percent of the white population voted for Bush. This logic does not compute.

Democrats around the country continue to show their true colors - Christian bashing, military bashing, undermining our war on terror and passing the buck on high gas prices.

The question is, how many of their constituents are listening?

No matter how many times I've pointed out the facts, Freepers claim that the GOP of today is still the party of Lincoln, and make much over the fact that the Solid South went Democratic after the Civil War and stayed so (thus the constant insults about "sheets" Byrd)until the 60's. They love to conflate "Democratic" as Liberals when it suits their purpose.
