I am getting hurricane fatigue
I stay up too late watching the weather channel to see where, when etc, and these that go thru the Gulf take a week to go full cycle, And then if there is damage, there's that coverage I spend a lot of time watching and getting upset. Yikes!

I am gonna have a nervous breakdown and I live in a safe area. Imagine what people in effected areas feel like this hurricane season.

2. Then they get targeted again by Pat Robertson's
rude comments about victims being at fault or whatever else he can come up with.

3. With all sincerity, I do suggest cutting back on your TV watching.
Honestly, it WILL help. Even just cutting back on it will reduce your stress level, you'll be amazed.

I read all I need to know on the internet and only consult TV when it's something truly huge (I did watch coverage of Katrina and 9/11, for instance).

Be well!

4. Try living through one.
Or two. Or three.

I've been through three major hurricanes (CAT-3 or higher), and four "little" ones. It's awful, but you prepare and survive and go on with your life. What other choice do you have?

Can any of you guys help me out, I mean refuting Chimpy's speech?

I know his are hollow words, but I want solid stuff that we Dems can/will do.

9. We can all get ourselves in a frenzy. Those of us in hurricane areas
are really having problems with this. So many the past few years it's overwhelming. And anyone who has friends relatives or elderly parents living on the coast is always watchful. It's hard, for sure.

10. I really hate to see the term "hurricane fatigue" used.
Yes I can understand - it has been cosmic, and the coverage keeps on continuing - but the minute words like "hurricane fatigue" start to go around, the news media decides that the story has run its course, and they'll stop doing the reporting that has, so far, done so much damage to George W. Bush.

So please - give yourself a break. There is only so much people can stand, and overexposing yourself to the news coverage will do nothing but make you anxious and fearful.

But I think it's vital that the news media keeps on hammering away. I haven't seen anything like the recent coverage, and the fairly consistent denigration of the Shrub. I'd hate them to pick up on things like people saying they have "hurricane fatigue" and deciding it's time to do another news blitz on Natalee Holloway. They need to keep reporting what happened and is happening.
