W's Dilemma: Landfall of Rita......No Bid Contracts
You suppose he is hoping for a Houston hit to obtain a larger no-bid contract? Or, is he hoping for it to hit NO again so the evidence leftover from Katrina is washed into the gulf?

I have been thinking lately that he may decide to bring the troops home as his regime will be making so much money on the no bid disaster contracts here on our own soil.

And, why isn't the news hammering this information about the subsidary of Halliburton obtaining the no bid contracts for ALL disasters? Or, have I just missed this item on the news?

2. Houston
Don't laugh. Houston is below sea level after years of drilling for water/oil and construction of high rises. Although inland, it is connected to the Gulf of Mexico via Galveston Bay. Huge tracts of it flood with just regular storms. They have no defenses, and a MUCH larger population than the NO area. Huge petro-chemical complexes just east of the city.

3. Please don't let Rita hit Houston
So many evacuees are there. I can't imagine the impending fear of a second strike there. I hope that it doesn't because it would be out of my realm of belief, to victimize the already victimized of the Gulf coast.

4. Evacuees in Reliant Center and the Convention Center
Are being moved out Tuesday. It was on the local news (Houston) tonight. No word on those being housed by churches or individuals.
