why do gop callers on c-span....
...consistenly have the wrong or no facts at all?

they just parrot the same misleading or incorrect talking points from the rnc.

one guy even repeated the old lie about the missing white house "w" keys after clinton left.

why don't they ever bother to research the propaganda they're spewing?

:banghead:

1. Dumb as a stump sometimes, and others just plain liars.
The facts have never supported Republican aims or goals. You'd think they'd tire of being cheap sacks of lying horseshit, but you'd be wrong. They love it, revel in it, and can't envision any other way to be.

3. It's easier for them to live with their delusions I guess.
 Or maybe it's hard for them to admit they were wrong about Pinhead**? Researching the facts would shatter their fantasy world. Either way, they are blockheads.

4. You have hit upon the most perplexing problem that faces all of us
Edited on Tue Sep-20-05 07:23 AM by DemonFighterLives
It has to be rovian in origin, repeated by the hannitys and rusbos. When the loyalists finally get it, it is so well traveled that it must be true, I guess.
It makes it easier to tell the pod people from the normal people. If they are spouting stuff that has no basis in reality, they are cult members.

6. They're so mindless
They don't know how to think for themselves. Blindly lockstepping behind the leader.

8. Might be
a goodly number of those callers are paid 'actors'performing from a bank of auto-dial telephone systems and programmed to spread the same old poop around because it is well known that many people will believe everything they hear on TV.

18. I'm firmly convinced of that--they sound too alike for it to be
coincidence. And boy are they ever in lock-step! I started noticing a revved up RW "talking points" movement in 2004, well before the elections.

and they are so desperate to deny that their own lives are turning to shit that they actually will believe anything.

11. Two words... Rush Limbaugh
They listen to Rush, jot down the salient "facts" and then consider it their "duty" to call every "show" they can and to write letters..all to help bolster their "idiot-in-chief".. No thinking required.. Just regurgitate the talking points of the day.:(

12. I think they usually only have a handful if not just one or two issues...
...that bring them to that side, such as abortion or gun control or welfare or the idea that the UN is a conspiracy to bring about a one-world government (more widespread than is immediately apparent). The rest has to get crammed in with propaganda, which they really don't have an interest in themselves other than to defend their decision to go Republican on the few wedge issues.

13. Ideology comes before all else
and the truth takes a back seat. Many a time I have absolutely proved a right-wing 'copy paste & broadcast' email to be nothing but a pack of lies, only to see the same thing again, from the same bunch of people, a month later. Propaganda gets proved 100% false on Urban Legends, yet they leave it on state Republican party web sites. I prove them wrong in chat room debates, and they reject my mainstream media sources, saying they're too liberal to be trusted.

I honestly believe these people think it is a virtue to lie in support of their cause. But if a Democrat lies, they squeal like pigs, with the enthusiastic support of the corporate news media.

14. "You're either the dumbest person ever born or a bold-faced liar!"
One of the catch phrases used by Judge Marilyn Milian on "The People's Court" really applies to the operators of the GOP noise machine.

How I wish someone would say that to Ken Mehlman, Dan Bartlett, Rove, or the Media Wing or Hannity, Limbaugh, etc.

15. Why does c-span still have a call-in line for "Support Pres Bush"?
The other two call-in lines are Support Democrats and Support Others ... shouldn't there be a call-in line Support Republicans??

20. Some Are Paid Political Operatives
That buffoon from Ellijay, GA who calls in every 30 days, like clockwork, is completely known to be a paid consultant to the Georgia Republican party.

He calls to cheerlead and lie, because that's his job.
