What kind of world do you want to live in?
I wish that all office holders and those running for political office would be asked this general question. I think that what they say and, maybe more importantly, what they don't say would be quite enlightening. You would find out what is TRULY most important to them.

5. Ya know
the Repugs gave Clinton (the best we have had in ages) HELL for 8 years.... I vowed to give * the same and more.... once HE is out of the way (in any manner GAWD allows and chooses), I am through with politics, period. I do not CARE who enters next - NOTHING can be as slouchy and dickless as *.

3. I doubt the quesiton would change much.
It'd be like asking that question at a Ms. America pageant. All the candidates would just fawn over how much they love world peace.

Then they'd go back to making bombs once they were elected. Admittedly, that last part isn't much like Miss America. But you get the idea.

As for me, I'd like to live in a world where I can be free within the confines of my own property to do whatever the hell I want with whoever the hell I want at any time I want -- as long as I'm not hurting anyone else or infringing on their rights. ... Ah, what a wonderful world it would be ...

4. The point of my question
Edited on Tue Sep-20-05 12:44 PM by UnityDem
is that I think you would get very different answers from those on the left. We would have much more of a world view in regards to the environment, poverty, racism, etc. Those on the right would have much more of an "American only" viewpoint for things that DIRECTLY (in their minds) affect themselves. I think you would see a "greed versus need" mindset.

7. I remember one candidate
saying something like "I want world peace and then I want to get my own apartment."

I think that is a good answer.

6. A world without any mental/physical pressure
Where I can relax and not spaz out about work and school.
