Is Bush between a Rock and a Hard Place? |
|
Florida has made a disaster declaration. I would imagine Texas will assuming Rita heads west.
What happens if the FEMA response is slow again? Bush is screwed? Whatt happens if FEMA response is rapid in both Texas and Florida where political ties to Bush are strongest? Katrina becomes more political and Bush becomes responsible for FEMA's lack of effort.
Anyone else seeing this lose-lose situation?

and if he raises taxes, I'm going to lose twenty pounds and put on my 2000 T-shirt that says "Read My Lips - No New Taxes."
I'll have to get a new T-shirt regarding his total disregard for hurricane response.

3. Of course. That's why they'll put Rove to task at badgering the MSM |
|
to make sure they spin any relief or non-relief the right way.

6. I see this the same way you do |

He's in a no win situation. He doesn't have control of these hurricanes so he's screwed. I think the good Lord is finally answering my prayers. If been praying for years for the good people in the USA will see Bush for what he truly is (I just hate to see these poor people being hurt and killed in order for the kool-aide drinkers see reality.)

4. Intelligence wise - He's between a rock and turnip. |

The Boob-in-Chief is a politcal loser no matter what he does in this situation. His natural incompetance is becoming all too obvious even to the nincompoops who voted for him.

5. Exactly what I was thinking earlier |
|
If he rushes into Florida with the entire 'cavalry' or 'army of compassion' within hours the difference will be too extreme to ignore - if he takes his time it'll mean nothing has changed.

7. Or "calvary" as someone on Air America was shouting loudly the |
|
other day. I don't remember who it was or even what they were talking about. But they wanted to send in the cavalry and kept saying calvary. All I could think of was a million "churches" answering his call.
