Uncy Herb and the Homer. One persons view on Katrina and moron*..

You know I have been thinking about this for a few days and it finally hit me. Katrina, moron* and the Simpsons have alot in common.

There was an episode of the Simpsons sometime ago, where Homers long lost wealthy brother, who happens to own a automobile corporation, reunite.

Herb (homers brother) invites the Simpsons to his palatial estate. While there, Herb wants Homer to design a new car for the common man.
Hence, "The Homer". This Edsel type contraption, laughing stock of the auto industry, bankrupts Herb. Herb, needless to say is pissed off and disowns Homer.

This is how I look upon Moron* and his room full of dopes. Only in this analogy, Moron* is Herb, Homer is Brown, Chartoff, etc, (you can pick your own) and Katrina or the response to Katrina is there "Homer".

Herb gets pissed off at Homer for designing a crappy car and blames him for the bankruptcy. This is a typical repuke action.

Why?

Like like Herb, moron* chose an idiot, with no experience, to run FEMA. Homer hadn't a clue what it took to design a car, yet Herb made the classic mistake of hiring a relative (or in morons* case, a crony) to make company wide decisions.

So was homer really to blame? yes and no, yes, because he fucked up, and no, because he didn't have any experience.

So in comes Brown, Chartoff or whatever crony, they fuck up royally and they take the heat. So are they to blame? Yes and Yes. This is the real world, they fucked up and they should have never accepted the job in the first place.

With the Simpsons, Herb is the one to blame. It was his company and his decision to hire Homer who had no experience and it was his choice to give him free reign to design anything Homer wanted, even a car that would ultimately bankrupt him.

And like life imitating art, moron* hires a crony horse coach, with no experience in disaster preparedness or relief and has him resign. He didn't even have enough guts to fire him. At least Herb had that.

So who is to blame? moron*. It was his choice, his decision and his failure to hire jerks, morons and cronies with no job experience, that countless lives had to depend on.
