MMP voting- Interesting for lurking freepers too

I was reading up on the recent New Zealand elections when I ran across their election method adopted for the 1996 elections called MMP, Mixed-Member Proportional voting. I could go for anything that breaks the stranglehold of the two-party system, but this MMP voting is something to sing about. Too bad our media always looks inward and avoids reporting anything with any real informational nutrition.
