Perfect comeback to tired old "yeah, but Clinton..."
Edited on Tue Sep-20-05 09:37 PM by Midnight Rambler
"So, because Clinton did it that makes it right?"

On the one hand, they'll probably be hoping you would defend Clinton automatically, no questions asked, giving them license to do the same thing. On the other, now you've twisted their own words to make them sound pro-Clinton, and the unfortunate man or woman's head will in fact expolde.

1. I like it.
Given the appropriate circumstance, I may use use it.

2. What are you trying to say?
I think clinton is irrelevent, but when he critisizes the incompentences and insensitivity of this administration should be taken just as it is, a critisism of the administration, nothing more

4. I get soooo sick of the knee-jerk freepish response to any criticism of
Busholini: "Well, what about Clinton?" Or, my favorite, "Kerry would have been worse." To which I reply, "Clinton hasn't been president for more than 5 years, and Kerry isn't the president now. Those guys are irrelevant, so don't talk to me about them. I want you to tell me why Bush -- without comparing him to anybody else -- is, objectively speaking, doing a good job." And then they sort of mumble and stammer and try to keep bitching about Clinton or Kerry. I don't let them get away with that, and since they don't have anything else, their heads start to explode.

6. Whenever anyone postuates that line to me I reply
--If Clinton did it, and Bush did it, and you like Bush, then you must LOVE Clinton, what with all the peace and prosperity he ushered in. Say, are you better off now than you were five years ago?? Whatcha paying at the pump? That three hundred buck bullshit tax return covering that increase for ya??? How about your local taxes? Did they go up as the federal ones went down? How is that working for ya???

When they blather bullshit and claim they do not, would not, and never did love Clinton, you ask, "So two wrongs make a right??" It is OK for one guy to do it, but the other guy, not so good?

Ideology of personality, not principle.

Idiots--you do not even have to defend, just hoist them on their own pathetic lack of logic.
