5. It's over...
Tucker looked scared shitless... He (Tucker) was bashing Clinton for being so self rightous lately and he said "Doesn't it want to make you throw up with his self righteousness??" Maher - "Seeing dead bodies floating makes me want to throw up" and then Bill lashed out how this would have NEVER happend under Clinton...it was GREAT!!!

6. That was awesome. Tucker is all pissy about what Clinton said on
This Week and MTP this weekend. He asked Maher if what Clinton did made him want to throw up just like it made him want to throw up.

Maher responded - seeing dead bodies in NOLA made him want to throw up. This would have never happened under Bill Clinton because FEMA wouldn't have been such crap and Bill Clinton would have been on top of it "like white on rice". Bill said Clinton would have been there immediately and he wouldn't have slept for two weeks trying to take care of things.

No, Tucker, Bill doesn't agree with you.

Yep that has been obvious from day one..... too bad so many people here need to be convinced he is dependable. Plenty of anti Bill Maher threads abound after many of his shows.

to the beginning. Maher was already on but I caught the awesome smack down Bill gave Tucker. It was great and hopefully Crooks and Liars will have it.

24. Scarbourough admits it's really about power
I always thought Scarbourough didn't really "like" Bush either. But in his blog he admits why Republicans support him anyway. "A California Democrat who read my recent note on the White House’s cynical shell game with social conservatives wrote to ask why Republicans who feel betrayed by Bush’s big government policies remain loyal.

Regardless of whether you consider Bush to be a true believer or a socialist squish, the truth is Republicans will stand by their man whether he drives the deficit up to $900 billion or appoints a practicing abortionist to the Supreme Court.

Why? Because Bush Republicans, like Clinton Democrats in the '90s, love absolute power more than sound policy.

My most liberal Democratic friends in Congress loathed Bill Clinton’s existence, regularly labeling him a sleazy liar and worthless scumbag. But as Democratic politicians, victory was more important than virtue. My Republican friends have likewise fallen on their swords.

One more reason to despise political parties."

26. I'm sorry, but that last part is full of shit.
The liberals in the 90s were independent-minded, not sycophants of the president. They stoned Clinton with their silence. When Clinton needed people standing up for him and defending him, they just stepped aside and allowed the conservatives to pillory him.

Maybe the Republicans should do the same with Bush. I'm of the opinion that any Republican, this late in the game, who defends Bush, is because he's just as guilty as Bush is about something.

30. Scarborough is spewing verbal shit.
I saw MANY liberals decrying Clinton and his policies. Clinton ran as a centrist and acted like one.

And Clinton DID have many SOUND policies - so the analogy is foolish.

21. Maher told Tucker that the hurricane response was a disaster
Edited on Tue Sep-20-05 11:14 PM by barb162
because of the idiot Bush hired for FEMA director. That, okay, all presidents hire friends and such but they go to unimportant posts like ambassador to Lichtenstein or San Marino, BUT NOT positions like FEMA director, which was an important post under Clinton..

Then the jerk (Tucker) started saying that Clinton was lying about how he no longer supported Bush's Iraq war when a few years ago he agreed with Bush about going to war. Maher then slammed Tucker saying Clinton supported giving Bush power to be a sheriff in regard to Iraq WMD but NOT to invade Iraq for just any reason, like not letting the UN inspectors even finish the inspection process, just rushing to war. He said basically that Bush just went to war without any reason and Clinton never ever supported that.

Tucker had that deer in the car headlights look. Speechless.

19. Amazing the change in Tucker after they changed his time slot.
Many here pointed out what a phony he was and how he would say anything he was paid to say, and I must say, (say, have I said say enough?) they were right. When he followed Keith Obermann he was leaning liberal because, Keith’s audience is liberal. However now that he follows Scarborough, he is back to being his nasty, verbally abusive, conservative self again.

28. tucker carlson is a major weiner
and I don't understand how he could even get a slot on TV, except that he voices a lot of xenophobic nonsense, while looking clean-cut and cute. White people that want to hold on to what they have and think they deserve it, like him.
